About

Hola Amigos! I am currently working as the Assistant Project Manager at La Hesperia Biological Station in Ecuador. I am a recent Bsc. graduate with a major in zoology and love animals (duh), nature, and everything outdoors! In fact, I like a lot of things. I like meeting weird people, eating exotic foods, the violin and accordion, Jack London, and getting caught in the rain.
I started Cloud Mountain off as a personal journal-style blog on tumblr that only my parents ever read. Traveling around and meeting new people however, made me realize that I could turn my blog into something useful and maybe even enjoyable for my readers. More recently I’ve also been immobilized due to a mysterious illness, and blogging is at least a semi-productive way to bide my time while my body feels like it got hit by a bus. So there you have it; if you’re into cloud forest biodiversity, travel stories and practical information on South America, or my personal thoughts and musings, I invite you to follow Cloud Mountain!

Don’t I look sassy in my ultra-Canadian onesie? I thought so.
